The brief
A bayside family home in Shorncliffe with a backyard that wasn't earning its keep. The brief: a lush, tropical garden built for entertaining and unwinding, with distinct places to cook, eat, soak and gather around a fire.
The design
The garden is designed as a series of connected rooms. A covered dining terrace sits off the house, a barrel sauna and spa tuck into layered tropical planting, steppers cross the level lawn, and a firepit corner under festoon lighting closes out the rear of the garden. Lush, layered planting wraps every space, so the garden reads green from every window.
The visualisation
Before anything is built, the family can walk through their garden. The full design was modelled in 3D, and the renders below show the approved design from ground level and above.
